Patricia S. Lecca

Founder and Partner

Patricia Lecca is a registered European and French patent attorney. Her practice focuses on all facets of patent practice. She has prepared and successfully prosecuted to issuance numerous biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceutical patents. Being in house for a number of years in start-ups and big pharma industries, she can offer services on many legal issues relating to patentability, patent validity, opposition and infringement, licensing and business development.

Ms. Lecca started her patent practice in 1994 in patent law firms based in Manhattan, New York, and later on joined a French law firm in Paris. She also served within the patent department of multinational pharmaceutical industries

Ms. Lecca is a member of several organizations including ASPI (Association des Spécialistes en Propriété Industrielle), FNDE (Fédération Nationale pour les Droits de l’Entreprise), EPI (Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office), and CNCPI (Compagnie Nationale des Conseils en Propriété Intellectuelle).

Ms. Lecca received a degree in molecular biology from Pasteur University and her law degree from Robert Schuman University in France.

Dr. Sivagami Bhatt

Founder and Partner

Sivagami Bhatt has more than 15 years experience in the patent fields as in house representative for several Indian big pharma and biotech companies. 

Her expertise includes extensive patent analysis, patent drafting, oppositions and litigations related to hundreds of pharmaceuticals and biologicals. She has successfully handled multiple patent litigations and has been instrumental in obtaining many settlement deals for the companies she has worked with.

Her core competency areas include complex patent invalidations, Hatch-Waxman litigation strategies and worldwide product launch planning based on IP and regulatory mapping.  She has also participated in multiple IP due diligence exercises and has been instrumental in materializing many licensing, partnership and joint venture deals and settlements.

She is further well versed with non-pharma patent aspects ranging from veterinary science, thru care chemicals and FMCG goods. She has also been involved in conception and drafting of business methods and cloud computing patents as well.

She has Masters Degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology, Ph.D. in Intellectual Property law with emphasis in mediation/arbitration and dispute resolutions.
